Mixed reactions have continued to trail Senator Dino Melaye’s recent statement claiming that he ran into the bush and hid on a tree for eleven hours after he reportedly escaped from assassins.

The controversial senator who has been giving a series of questionable recounts of his ordeal on his social media platforms told journalists on Sunday that the assains also wanted to burn his car when they discovered his car was bulletproof.

However, Nigerians are not buying his “movie like” stories anymore, with many accusing and asserting that it was just a decoy from his court case with the police.

Sahara Reporters also claimed that relatives and several senators said that Melaye was never kidnapped but staged a walk into a bush to avoid being charged before a KOGI high court.
