Governor Bello receives new Kogi commissioner of police

The Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has received the new commissioner of police for the state’s command, Mr Ede Ayuba at Government House Lokoja.

The new Commissioner of Police, while speaking said he was in the governor’s office on a formal introduction and to also thank him for his supports to the security agencies in the state particularly the Nigerian Police.

Ayuba specially commended the Governor for his quick response during the recent invasion of Tawari community, noting that the governor’s proactive measures restored normalcy to the area immediately and allayed the people’s fears of further attacks.

While pledging his cooperation to the State Government, Mr Ayuba said the police personnel under his command would work hand-in-hand with the Government of Kogi State to ensure all forms of criminal activities were eliminated from the state.

Governor Bello while responding, thanked the new Commissioner of Police for his commendation and welcomed him to the state.

Bello restated that protecting lives and property of the people of the state remained his primary objective and top priority as head of government of Kogi State.

He assured CP Ayuba that his administration will continue to play its role to ensure that the police command and other security agencies in the state get the needed supports from the government in maintaining law and order in the state.

Mr Ayuba was accompanied on the visit to the governor at the Government House Lokoja by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, A. A. Yusuf and Deputy Commissioner of Police Criminal Investigation Department, Dauda Idris Dabbam.
