The former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Tuesday disclosed that late Captain S.G. Tokida and former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon saved his father’s live.
The former Minister made the disclosure when he shared a picture of himself and General Gowon on his Twitter account few minutes ago after boarding the same aircraft today.

The former Minister who described General Gowon as “a perfect gentleman” noted that it was a pleasure to fly on the same aircraft with the former Head of State. He said that it was obligatory for him to always thank General Gowon whenever he sees him.
Pleasure to fly with former Head of State Gen. Yakubu Gowon today. A perfect gentleman. He and the late Captain S.G. Tokida saved my father’s life on the night of Jan. 15th 1966 when the junior officers coup took place. I thank him for that whenever see him. I did so again today!
