Guardiola bans star player from training ground, read his ridiculous reason

Published

Barely 10 days before the start of the new English Premier League, Manchester City’s manager, Pep Guardiola has shown that he means business.

Reports just coming in inform that the former Bayern Munich coach who was confirmed as City’s new manager back in February has banished overweight players for first-team training whilst also banning junk food.

It was learnt that Guardiola informed all the players that he will not allow any players to train with the first team if they are overweight.

Guardiola implemented a similar sort of  thing during his spells with Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

The first person to feel his wrath in Manchester City is Samir Nasri, who has been told to shed some pounds.

it was reported recently that Guardiola has banned his players from having dinner with their WAGS after games and also from eating pizza at home games in the dressing room.

Both of those things were reportedly common under Guardiola’s predecessor Manuel Pellegrini, but the former ran a similar scheme at his previous clubs and is keen to recreate that at City.

The former Barcelona midfielder is also reportedly looking to bring in his own dietician, who will regularly be checking on the fitness and weight of the club’s players.
