Gunmen abduct policewoman, eight family members, demand N100m ransom

Nine people, including a policewoman, have been abducted by kidnappers in Kaduna State.

WuzupNigeria gathered that the incident happened on Wednesday at the Ungwan Ma’aji, New Millennium City, in the Chikun Local Government Area of the state

It was further gathered that the victims include Police Inspector Gloria Sebastine and one Alhaji Usman and seven members of his family.

According to reports, the gunmen invaded Inspector Sebastine’s residence around 10:30 pm and cart her away.

“They beat my sister to tell them where I was but she insisted that I had escaped. And they took her away,” a relative of the inspector said.

“They left our house to another house where they kidnapped Alhaji Usman and his family members.”

An official of the landlord association, who also spoke on condition of anonymity, said the kidnappers had contacted Sebastine’s family and demanded N100m ransom.

When contacted, the Kaduna Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, said he was on an assignment outside the office and get back later.
