An aged woman alleged to be the mother of the Chief Executive Officer of SLOT, Mr. Nnamdi Ezeigbo, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Abia State.
The incident reportedly happened on Sunday morning, March 18, 2018, when the victim was on her way to church at Nsukwe Ubakala in Umuahia.
However, the victim’s name was not mentioned.
A family member who pleaded anonymity confirmed that she was kidnapped on her way to church and the family is in shock, Daily post reports.
He said,
“The kidnappers were waiting patiently for her to come to Assemblies of God Church Nsukwe Ubakala where she worships.
“They took her away to an unknown place.”
He also said that the suspected kidnappers have not contacted the family.
” No, We have not heard from them. As I am talking to you, the family is in deep shock over the kidnap of the old woman.”
Daily post reports that efforts to reach the Public Relations Officer of the Abia State Police command, Mr. Geoffrey Ogbonna, for confirmation proved abortive.
