The command’s spokesman, Chike Oti said the officers are currently undergoing interrogation at the Command’s X-Squad Section and would be marched before an Adjudicating Officer at the Police Provost Department for the commencement of their orderly room trial.
He said the arrest was carried out following a directive from the Commissioner of Police, Mr Imohimi Edgal.
Oti gave the names of the officers as; Inspector Taiwo Omojope, Inspector Arigidi Ebibor, Sergeant Rotimi Adesoba, Olalekan Olakunle and Friday Oni.
He said the officers are from the Ipakodo Base of the Special Anti Robbery Squad and not the Ikeja Unit as was previously reported.

The SARS harassment was made public after Mr Ekene Okoro placed a call to the- office of the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State and reported that his cousin, Immanuel James was being harassed by policemen at Ago-Palace way, Okota, opposite a Zenith Bank branch.
