HE CHOSE THE WRONG PERSON FOR HELP! Mixed reactions trail CDQ’s response to a ‘suicidal’ fan
Music rapper, CDQ, has come under criticism for shunning a “suicidal” fan, simply identified as @Larryyong_16, who reached out to him for help.
The rapper had advised @Larryyong_16 to carry his cross stating that everyone has their own personal problems.
CDQ further said he is not the “Jesus” adding that he can only help him by reposting his chat on social media.
However, some Twitter users had opined that CDQ should have offered to meet the Instagram user and also reached out to him personally.
Some said that CDQ was very insensitive adding that a little empathy and compassion isn’t too much to ask of any human being.

Meanwhile, some supported CDQ for posting the chat on his IG page saying the fan just wanted to gain his attention.
On the other hand, CDQ said he was only misinterpreted. He said
“Just to clear the airwaves ✈️ everyone that’s had one on one contact with me would testify how respectful, humble and chill I am as a person…
“I only picked an example from the peak just to encourage people that are determined…
“As una know say me and instadog Dey on scores ? so they’ll always want to paint negativity out of all positives… but as Omo igboro isgoing noni ?? #ibilémugabethealbum (the voice) #Nov16 é stay awoke ???”

Someone reaches out to CDQ that he has “suicidal thoughts”, and next thing he did was post it publicly & mock the young man
What a shame.Kudos to people like the fake-dead Ibukun
We are finally at that dreadful horrible point where people now take suicide/depression as a joke. pic.twitter.com/vr5aHGwQMl

In as much as I agree with you sir, I think there are lots of questions to be asked. Well if he didn’t post it, we wouldn’t have know about this conversation in the first place. My major question is why did he choose CDQ of all people to talk to about his suicidal thoughts?
— Black-Shinobi? (@jason_mayowa) November 13, 2018
I doubt CDQ understand what suicidal thoughts means. I don’t know why a sane person will do that. It is too much for the guy
— Adunola (@HalimaAdunola) November 13, 2018
He should go share it with his family members or friend not bringing it online upon all the people na cdq
— Internationalocal (@izuchukvvu) November 13, 2018
No be everybody get responsible family/friends. It doesn’t speak well of CDQ to publicize such. I’m a fan of CDQ, but truth need to be said. What he did is inhumane!
— Adunola (@HalimaAdunola) November 13, 2018
It is not a bad idea to bring issues online. So many people are ready to help online. I’m only sorry for the guy he choose the wrong person for help. What if he doesn’t have anyone to talk to around? What if the people around doesn’t pay attention to him?
— Adunola (@HalimaAdunola) November 13, 2018
Yeah. And this cdq guy did not have to put it out there like that. A little empathy and compassion isn’t too much to ask of any human being, but I guess the average Nigerian isn’t capable of channelling those emotions. God forbid !

People take depression for joke, this is what happen when people talk about depression. CDQ is just an example of a typical Nigerian
— AJuNa (@misterajuna) November 13, 2018
The average Nigerian is short of any experience in dealing with suicidal or depressed people, cdq just deemed it fit to post it online and has he said, he can’t attend to everybody.

I see people blaming the guy for trying to talk to the so called celeb, I see no fault in that. CDQ might be his role model and he thought he could talk to someone he idolize, let’s take the story and video to Eminem’ s song STAN for instance, CDQ could’ve ignored instead of this

Serve him right. See a psychologist or G&C not celebrities.
— Dauntless (@Elnenno) November 13, 2018
I am speechless!
Someone tells you that they’re having suicidal thoughts and the next thing you do is to mock them?
Even if you feel that you do not have the ability help to them, the least you can do is find someone who can.— OfureAsotie. (@Ofure_X) November 14, 2018
I would have preferred him ignoring the guy if he has nothing to offer . The length scammer are going these days to extort money from their victims is making it difficult to identify who’s real and who’s not especially on Instagram.

Obviously having a Great talent in rapping doesn’t automatically makes one emotionally intelligent. We keep expecting a lot from this Celebrities.. Things they themselves don’t have. Pity.

This man has his thinking faculty on generator. If it were to be a celebrity,he would put up post of prayer sessions. Loud hypocrites

“Dont judge” they’d say, but we have seen and experienced a lot, to putatively tell our right from the left. We saw in recent weeks the kind of stunts people pull on just to “experiment” and to scam unsuspecting folks. But the way we respond is what makes the difference.
— Black-Shinobi? (@jason_mayowa) November 13, 2018
CDQ shame on yhu. SHAME!!!
— Olaoluwatomiyosi™ (@iamdeumi) November 13, 2018
I’m highly disappointed in him, didn’t expect that from him ….
— iam_Reachome (@OladeylehWealth) November 13, 2018
The response from this guy is so uncouth, this in my opinion is doing more damages to the victim especially if he idolized the “celeb”. Show empathy when it is needed and if you don’t understand the situation the least you can do is just ignore.
— Duduski (@ebojaga) November 14, 2018
Why CDQ? Wey compassionate pipu like BankyW and DonJazzy dey.
Someone that doesnt have sense, i dont think he even knows what suicidal thoughts means. I blame the guy.
