HE DOZED OFF! Truck driver crushes commercial motorcyclist to death in Ogun
A commercial motorcyclist was on Monday morning crushed to death by a sleeping driver of an Iveco truck on the Lagos/Abeokuta Expressway.
Wuzup Naija gathered that the incident happened around Ifo area of the road.
Eyewitnesses said the driver of the truck marked AAA 921 XA had slept off and veered to the lane of the motorcyclist, hitting from the rear and in the process crushing him and his motorcycle with registration number FKJ 880 QB against a stationary unmarked Mack truck.

Wuzup gathered that the Mack truck had been involved in an accident with a Mercedes Benz car marked EG 283 KJA on Sunday night.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, who confirmed the accident, said the commercial motorcycle rider died on the spot and that his remains have been taken to the State General Hospital, Ifo.
“An Iveco Truck, which was travelling early this morning, lost control due to fatigue, according to eyewitness account, and then rammed into the motorcycle rider (okada rider) from behind against the two accidents vehicles that happened on Sunday night.
The driver of the Iveco Truck, the accident vehicles, including the motorcycle, have been evacuated to the Ifo Divisional Police Headquarters,” Akinbiyi said.
