HE IS A MILLION TIMES BRAVER THAN MOST ACTIVISTS! Nigerian Lawyer hails Bobrisky
A Nigerian lawyer and writer, Elnathan John, has praised popular crossdresser, Bobrisky, over his relentless efforts to remain relevant in the entertainment industry.
John said that Bobrisky is a million times braver than he his.
In a series of tweets, the lawyer lauded the effeminate adding that Bobrisky seems to be stronger than most activists he knows.
However, he stated that Bobrisky isn’t still totally safe adding that he salutes her. John wrote,
“One day in Nigeria we will talk about Bobrisky’s quiet revolution. A thesis will be written about how, with all her issues, she is challenging the meaning and idea of gender in a way more radical than we can ever do with words. You don’t have to like her. But she is important.
“Bobrisky is a million times braver than I will ever be. Braver than most activists I know. In a country where you are one wrong move, one wrong place away from death, away from a mob, away from murderous religious bigots selective in their enforcement of the rules of their gods.
“And she isn’t still totally safe. She is always one weyrey away from harm. Which is why I salute her. Living her truth in toxic Nigeria.
“I must say though: the south-west is still the most “liberal” part of Nigeria. Not sure how or if she could thrive/be safe anywhere else.”
Meanwhile, other Twitter users have disagreed over his ascensions, many lambasted him for praising Bobrisky adding that his topic of discourse is not a priority for Nigerians.

Misplaced priorities, you have this kind of platform and bobrisky is your real topic?
A young man got shot by SARS at ojota on Friday
Citizens are dying in their own country every single day for no reason, Nigeria’s Revolution has bigger issues than bobrisky!#ENDSARS now!!!— c*i*m*a (@merrybelz) June 10, 2018
Suspected Gays and people like Bobrisky get mobbed and killed and somehow it is not by SARS but by regular folks on the street. SARS for all their ills aren’t the only problem. And who says a particular issue must sidestep for another? Let people talk about what concerns them.

I like your use of ‘her’ in referring to Bobrisky. You might be one of my least favorite writers but we agree on something finally.

Read slowly… That’s exactly my point. People disregard Bob’s choice of how he identifies himself, especially blogs. But Elnathan didn’t. Hence my praise.

Gender is much different from sex at birth. There are two sexes but infinite genders. She’s a she as far as she represents herself that way…
