HE OWES ME N180, 000! Woman files for divorce, tells court husband refused to pay his debt to her

Widow Court

A housewife, Sadiya Sani, on Wednesday, prayed a Sharia Court in Minna to dissolve her marriage to Hassan Turaki for his indebtedness to her.

Sadiya told the court that her husband owed her to the tune of N180, 000 and had since refused to pay his debt.

The petitioner also alleged that the respondent constantly beat her and that he had not been caring for her needs.

“My husband does not treat me like a woman; he is in the habit of beating me for no good reasons.

“And he does not care for me or provide for my needs as he is supposed to,’’ she said.

In his response, Turaki admitted that he beat his wife, but said that he was still in love with her.

“I love my wife and I don’t want us to go our separate ways.

“I am ready to write an undertaking that I will never beat my wife again and will pay back the money I owed her in instalments,’’ he said.

The presiding judge, Ahmed Bima, granted the respondent’s plea and cautioned him against domestic violence.

Buhari has only plunged Nigeria into darkness, death and destruction, Fani-Kayode says

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, a staunch critic of the President Buhari-led administration has said that the five years of President Muhammadu Buhari was “disastrous.”

Femi Fani-Kayode disagreed with Special Adviser to Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, whose weekly column argued the President’s emergence, saved the nation from collapse in 2015.

Fani-Kayode via his Twitter handle had argued that the emergence of Buhari in 2015 annihilated Nigeria and plunged her into darkness, death, and destruction.
