Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has thrown shade at Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai over his tweet mocking him (Sani) that he may not be good enough to be employed as a teacher in the state.

He said the governor decided to resort to social media drama because he was denied a visa to the United States for the United Nations General Assembly over his infamous ‘body bags’ comment before the 2019 elections.

El-Rufai who first threw a jab towards the ex-Senator on Friday morning wrote:

“Uncertain whether he is good enough to be employed by the Kaduna State Civil Service Commission!” He then shared a series of laughing emojis in the tweet.

The governor’s jab was in response to a tweet from a Twitter user who had quoted Sani’s tweet and mentioned El-Rufai in his response.

The ex-Senator in his tweet had expressed doubts on reports that the Kaduna state government has commenced the payment of the N30, 000 minimum wage to civil servants.

He tweeted on Thursday:

Any payment of minimum wage by any state not in accordance with the template of the new minimum wage act is simply a fraud. Selective, manipulative and dubious payment is simply a deceit. Confirm full compliance from the NLC & the TUC first not from politicians.”

The Twitter user Saifu Kajuru @SaifuBawa quoted the tweet and wrote:

“Dear @elrufai, start paying @ShehuSani minimum wage so that he can use it and buy some sense.” This prompted the mocking tweet from El-Rufai.

Firing back at El-Rufai, Sani wrote on Friday afternoon:
