Amir, the eldest son of Usman Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto, has been reportedly involved in a car accident.

Amir was reportedly driving at a high speed of over 200km/hr within Sokoto Airport Road, in an area called Bado, when the accident happened on Sunday.

According to Sahara reporters, the Sultan’s son was in the company of Khalifa Maccido, son of Aliyu Macciddo, and a girl he reportedly picked from Kaduna to have fun with.

It was also gathered that Amir had been drunk while driving and a bottle of Benelyn Codeine syrup was found in the car.

Amir was taken to the Usman Danfodio Teaching Hospital, where he has been unconscious.

Sahara reporters say officials of the Sultanate Council allegedly removed the Sultanate council plate number from the car so as not to expose the Sultanate Council.

Amir is also believed to have been dismissed from a UK school due to his drunkenness.
