Nigerian comedian, Obotuke Timothy Sirbalo, has announced that he had a successful surgery after he was stabbed by his Togolese gateman with a screwdriver.

In series of post on his Instagram page, Sirbalo thanked God for sustaining his life and also thanked celebrities like Toyin Abraham and some of his colleagues for supporting him.

He wrote,

“I want to use this medium to say a very big thank you to everyone who support us financially and prayer. God bless you all. our mummy @toyin_abraham. My blood brother from another mother.

Narrating the scary incident in a previous post on his IG page, Sirbalo wrote,

“First of all, we Thank God. Our Togolese gateman is fond of tampering with light in the house which we always warn him against because it burns our gadgets whenever he tampers with it.

“Wednesday morning, Sirbalo was in his apartment editing a movie, as usual, the light went off and on Immediately he check his new apple charger he bought 47k got burnt.

“He stepped out to see what went wrong, with the light unsurprisingly, He saw Sunday, the gateman tampering with the light.

“He walked to him to complain and the house help picked up argument with him that who is he(Sirbalo) to instruct him on what to do and what not to do in the house, that he is not the one that employ him but the landlady he told him to keep quiet and get out of his sight.

“We noticed the argument was getting serious than expected, we called Sirbalo to come back upstairs and leave the boy alone, as he was leaving, he told Sunday “comot there b4 electric kill you” but because Sunday did not understand pidgin he picked offence and use the tester (screwdriver) to stabbed Sirbalo in the chest,n Sirbalo ran immediately and the boy ran after him and stabbed him again from behind.

“We had to run down the stairs to rescue our friend and stop the boy. Before we reached him, he was holding a Cutlass and knife threatening to kill anybody that comes near him. We stayed away from him to avoid casualties and he went to his Madam’s flat upstairs.

“Sirbalo’s elder brother came about 40 minutes later and demanded to see the house help while his friends rushed Sirbalo to the hospital because he was losing strength, in getting to the hospital the doctor referred us to LUTH Becos he as an internal bleeding.

“Thank God the scanning and operation went successfully. Thanks to everyone who supported us. God bless you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
