HE WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN! Man’s eyes removed with a spoon by his father and brothers for asking to marry girl of his choice

Published

A Pakistani man has lost his two eyes to his father and brothers for daring to ask to marry a girl of his choice.

According to a DailyMail UK report, 22-year-old Abdul Baqi’s eyes were gouged out with a spoon by his father and brothers.

Baqi from Nasirabad village in Pakistan’s Balochistan province had asked his family to take an engagement proposal to his girlfriend.

But the request enraged his 70-year-old father Dost Muhammad and four brothers – Abdul Ghani, Abdul Sattar, Abdul Rehman and Abdul Karim – who then held him in a room and gouged his eyes of their sockets.

They locked his mother in another room so she could not intervene and then used a spoon and a knife to carry out the horrific punishment.

Speaking in a report, Mr Baqi, said:

“I liked a girl from Duki. My father and brothers were not happy with my choice. They often used to tell me that they will never allow me to marry a girl who keeps chatting on the mobile phone with me. They told me that they were ‘mullas’ (religious men) and cannot bear such a relation.

“I requested my father and brothers that I want to marry a girl I have been in a relationship with.

“‘My father agreed first. But, three hours later I was taken to a room by my father and four brothers where they tied me to a bed and started taking out my eyes.

“I kept shouting at them what were they doing? But they didn’t listen to my pleas.

“My father used the back of a spoon to take out my first eye. I saw my eye dangling out of the socket. He then used a knife to cut the veins.

“When they removed my first eye, I requested them to leave me now. But they didn’t listen to me at all and removed the other one as well.

“After they finished, I pleaded to them to please kill me now but they replied they want me be an example for other boys in the village.”

Neighbours informed some of Mr Baqi’s other siblings of the incident, who rushed him to hospital. After being transferred to a specialist hospital in Karachi, doctors confirmed he will never be able to see again.
