THE HEART OF AFRICA! My son is Malawi’s future president, says Madonna
The Queen of Pop, Madonna Louise Ciccone, simply known as Madonna, may be training her adopted son, David Banda, to one day rule Malawi.
The 59-year-old beautiful American singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman had in a tweet celebrating the US’ President’s Day referred to 12-year-old Banda as “the future president of Malawi”.

Madonna has six children, four of whom she adopted from Malawi.
Madonna’s relationship with Malawi’s authorities has not been smooth. Five years ago, Malawi accused Madonna of “bullying state officials”, exaggerating her contribution to the country and demanding VIP treatment. The singer’s manager, in turn, said the Malawian government had a grudge against the singer’s charity, Raising Malawi, which she founded the same year she adopted David.
In 2016, Malawi granted Madonna permission to adopt two more children, and she became the mother of twin baby girls Esther and Stella Mwale.
