HENCEFORTH! Anyone caught stealing pants might not be charged for stealing but attempted murder, says Police
In reaction to the recent unfortunate stories of theft of underpants rumoured to be used for ritual purposes, the Nigerian police have announced that suspects might be charged with attempted murder and not stealing.
This development was announced by the Chief Superintendent of Police, Dolapo Badmus, on her Instagram page while decrying the disturbing rate of ritualists.
Badmus also warned the evil perpetrators to stop the dastardly act immediately.
Badmus wrote.
“What is the in thing about increase in stealing of underpants?! Learnt the ones caught in the act always confess to be using it for rituals whereof the owner dies prematurely?…..
“Henceforth anyone caught stealing pants might not be charged for stealing but attempted murder??♀️??♀️This has to stop ? ✋
Recall that a man was caught on Thursday in Akure, Ondo State, with a bag containing women’s underwear and sanitary pads. The man was almost lynched by a mob after he was caught with the nylon bag containing the items.
According to reports, ritualists often send out errand boys and girls, who help get the panties. Female agents are also used to collect male underwears from men after sex.
Meanwhile, Instagram users have expressed divergent views to her assertions.
Reacting Badmus said;
“I came across so many comments over the stealing of underwear earlier discussed, I laughed so hard because some people can believe that with my 17 years ongoing as a Senior officer ??♀️ I don’t know the workings of the administration of justice?
“I am still laughing in Spanish!!!! People like @amb.yemisoile are rare….. not so many people can decode that post the way he did…..
“I wouldn’t have raised this post so that the purpose of that post isn’t lost but I’m charmed by your level of intelligence!??I’m not happy you bursted my bubble though??! Thought no one could be this smart?…….I’m following you back straight away because I’m a sapiosexual…”
