HER SON HAD AN ACCIDENT ON HIS WAY TO PICK HER! 78-year woman who was abandoned at Lagos airport returns home
A 78-year-old woman, Mrs. Benice Ikerionwu, who was abandoned by her children at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, last week has returned home.
According to a Facebook post by Nwachukwu Benneth, who initially posted the development on her Facebook timeline last week, her son came to pick her.
Benneth, a staff of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, said her son claimed he was involved in a car accident on his way to pick the septuagenarian at the airport.
Recall that WuzupNaija had reported that the septuagenarian was reportedly expecting her son, one Chimezie Ikerionwu, to pick her when she arrived on Monday.

He, however, failed to show up at the airport.
Benneth also said that FAAN MMA Management had already booked a ticket for her to fly down to Owerri and arrangement was made to take her to her village, in Isiala Mbano, before the son surfaced.

Thanking well-meaning Nigerians for showing concern, she wrote
“Thank you all for concern and efforts over mama case, at last, the son came to pick her yesterday evening claiming he was involved in an auto accident while coming to Lagos from Abuja.
“However, FAAN MMA Management had already booked a flight ticket for her to fly down to Owerri and Owerri Airport Manager contacted to arrange on how to pick her up when she lands and take her to her Village in Isiala Mbano since she knows the place before the son surfaced.
“It had been confirmed that Mama Ikerionwu is now at Isiala Mbano where the son took her to.once again thank you all for your effort and we spend our old age in peace by God grace.”
