Hit and run driver kills Okada rider, injures passenger (photos)
A commercial motorcycle rider has been killed after getting knocked down by a trailer on the Iyana-Itire axis of the Oshodi/Apapa expressway, Lagos.
According to reports, the passenger on the bike had his leg broken while the trailer that hit the duo escaped.
The photos of the accident scene were shared online by instablognaija.
In December 2016, Lagos State Government had announced the beginning of the enforcement of restriction of Okada from plying highways, bridges and the 475 roads identified in Schedule II of the Road Traffic Law 2012.
Among other things, the law was made to forestall accidents which are many times fatal involving commercial motorcycles on such roads.
