Housewife sets husband’s N3m building on fire in Osun
A housewife, Salamat Kehinde, has been arrested by the personnel of the Osun State Police Command for allegedly setting ablaze a house belonging to her husband.
The incident, which happened in Ori Eru, Iwo, saw a six-bedroom building belonging to Lamidi Kehinde being completely burnt down.
The value of the items in the building was put at over N3m, but no life was lost to the incident.
The Assistant Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mustafa Katayeyanjue, confirmed Salamat’s arrest.
He said the suspect was being held at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department.
He stated,
“One Lamidi Kehinde of Offadio in Ori Eru, Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State, reported that his second wife, Salamat Kehinde, burnt his six-bedroom house with all the property therein valued at about N3m.
“No life was lost. The suspect has been arrested and is being interrogated at the SCIID. The case is under investigation.”
