14-year girl born with a congenital disorder is pursuing her dreams to become a singer



A 14-year Kenya girl, born with a congenital disorder called hydrocephalus, is determined to pursue her dreams of becoming a renowned singer.

Hydrocephalus is a condition in which there is an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) within the brain. This typically causes increased pressure inside the skull. In babies, there may be a rapid increase in head size.

In an interview with BBC What’s New‘s Christine, Angel said she has learnt to accept herself the way she was created.

Angel said she started to sing when she was little because she kept asking her mother why she was born with a very big head.

She said she overcame the constant mockery from people by simply ignoring them.

At just 14, Angel has produced her first album and is doing well in school.
