Manchester United and Chelsea target Moussa Dembele has moved to end talks over his exit from Lyon during the January transfer window.

Speculation over £40million-rated Dembele’s future has been rife with interest from Premier League sides.

Speaking after helping Lyon reach the final of the French League Cup, Dembele confirmed he wants to stay put.

“I am a Lyon player and I will remain so until the end of the season,” Dembele told reporters after the match.

“I do not think that there will be a departure this winter. Lots of things are being said. It is up to me to ignore that and remain concentrated on the pitch.”

Dembele scored from the spot as Lyon drew 2-2 with Lille in their semi-final clash before emerging victorious on penalties.

The 23-year-old has hit 13 goals in 28 appearances for the French side this season.

PSG are in action in the other semi-final, away to Stade Reims on Wednesday night.

United are on the hunt for a new attacker after Marcus Rashford was ruled out for three months with a back injury sustained in the FA Cup third-round replay against Wolves last week.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have relied heavily on Tammy Abraham so far this season while Olivier Giroud is expected to leave for Inter Milan in the January window.

Lyon are currently seventh in the French league, three points off fourth-placed Nantes.
