I AM NOT A PROSTITUTE! Actress Ruth Kadiri attacks filmmaker for saying only prostitutes and gays make it in Nollywood
Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri, has said she is not a prostitute, noting that she and several other actors work extremely hard to become successful.
The actress made the assertion in a reaction to the interview granted by a filmmaker, Francis Atuma, where he alleged that “you can’t make it in Nollywood if you’re not a prostitute or homosexual.”
Kadiri, who took to her Instagram page to caution the director on his claims said she felt insulted by the statement. She warned him to stop generalizing his opinions, and also not to grant interviews if he has nothing to say.
She wrote:
“A lot of us work too hard to be placed into a general category and insulted by a practitioner Mr Pascal I am not a prostitute. I do not sleep with men for money or lifestyle… I feel offended. I am an ACTRESS and a PRODUCER I am successful and I am not a prostitute. SIR. If u have nothing to say pls don’t grant interviews… slamming us all and generalizing based on the lifestyle of few is very wrong. pascalatuma. @bolaaduwo @thecablelifestyle”
