Nigerian music star Yemi Alade has lambasted a troll who criticised her style of music for “lacking creativity.”

The troll took to the comment section of the singer’s Instagram post and posted a comment saying Yemi Alade’s lyrics are poor, predictable and lack creativity.

She wrote via her IG handle @_blessingma__,

“No doubt u are a great performer, but being a great performer wouldn’t do it all…. Ur lyrical content is so poor, no originality, creativity and content at all… we can predict ur lines “oga, tumbum, YAji, apokoto, pompom…. etc…. people are tired of listening to all those, u need versatility and creativeness….

“unfortunately u lack creativity, that’s why our queen is ruling, u need to make urself marketable that no promoter wld ignore you! But most importantly, u need to stop hating and learn from the queen to succeed.”

Yemi Alade first tutored the troll by listing the achievement she’s made this year alone and also how she has toured several countries performing with her live band which makes unique music.

She then went brutal in her reaction to the troll, saying

“God has been good and if His mercies and grace in my life continue to taunt you then you will know no peace.

“Next time you want to chat crap make sure you say aunty Yemi! I am not your mate in life! Get off my page!”
