On-Air-Personality (OAP) Bolanle Olukanni, said she struggled with self-confidence as a teenager due to her battle with stretch marks.

Bolanle, popularly called `Bolinto’ by her friends, took to her Instagram handle @bolanle on Tuesday in a motivational post, to share how she battled and finally got over the challenge.

“I first got stretch marks on my shoulders when I had my first Growth spurt. I was probably 12.

“All my friends would wear tank tops and spaghetti tops and I felt like I had to cover my shoulders.

“It affected my confidence during my teenage years and I spent my early adulthood hiding my shoulders.

“Well, I finally got over it,  I realised it’s not a big deal.

“So to women and men who have stretch marks and feel self-conscious about it …please don’t – you are beautiful no matter,” she said.

The media personality co-founded Sage and Walls in 2015, a multimedia production company and began producing and hosting “On the Carpet with Bolinto” which covers celebrity African events.

She has hosted “Moments with Mo” on DStv and Project Fame West Africa.

In 2019, she wrote her first documentary entitled “Gods Wives” which she also directed, then making her become the host of “The Juice” on Nda.
