Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Niniola, has penned a touching tribute in memory of her late father, Mr. Simeon Olaosebikan Apata, who passed on 24 years ago.
The 32-year award-winning singer eulogised her father with fond but respectful words on her Instagram page adding that he made her proud.
Niniola further described her father as a visionary man, a philanthropist, an educationist and a soldier.

The “Maradona” crooner said she missed plaiting her father’s hair, keeping his secrets and gun collection.
She also revealed that her father showed her off to his friends because of his dancing skills.
Mr. Simeon Apata was a retired Nigerian Army Brigadier-General and was assassinated on January 8, 1995.
His children Niniola and Teniola are both award-winning music stars making waves in the entertainment industry.
According to Guardian archives, the late Mr Simeon Apata, founded Apata Memorial Schools in 1980.
He fought gallantly for the Nigerian army (3rd Marine Commandos under Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo) during the civil war.
He was actively engaged in crime fighting and dislodging notorious marauders in Ire-Akari Estate, Isolo, in the 90s, an act which received accolades from the Lagos State Police Command.
He was into pet breeding and kept Doberman and German shepherd and a wide variety of guard dogs.
He was a founding member of the adult education board through his investment in Success Tutorial Academy in the 80s.

“You made me a QUEEN the moment I was born making me untouchable. You were a Visionary, Philanthropist, Educationist, Soldier etc
“Thank you for loving us all.. I will forever cherish the good memories we shared. Till we meet again.
