The winner of Big Brother Africa (BBA) season 5, Uti Nwachukwu, has revealed how he shared his $200,000 prize money with other housemates when he emerged winner of the TV reality show in 2010.

Uti said he gave out $5,000 each to three of the five finalists.

He revealed this in his reaction to a post by a Twitter user asking if his prize was shared after he suggested that the prize for the ongoing Big Brother Naija be shared among the five finalists presently left in the house – Mike, Seyi, Omashola, Mercy and Frodd.

Uti had tweeted:

The Twitter user then wrote:

“They for share your own prize money na”

Uti who initially participated in BBAfrica season 3 but was evicted on the 41st day, emerged winner of the Big Brother Africa 5: All-Stars in 2010.

He defeated Munya after securing votes from eight countries to beat the runner up who won votes from seven countries.
