I STRONGLY REJECT THE IDEA! Nigerian lady insists man is not the head of the house
A Nigerian lady identified as, Monrowe, with the Twitter handle @MoniqueMonrowe has said she strongly rejects the idea that the man is the head of the house.
She said it is not a concept she is going to teach her children nor abide by, noting that no one is the head of anything in her house as they are all equal.
Monrowe insisted that the idea that a man is the head of a household or head of a woman is deep-rooted into religion, specifically the bible.
The lady, who is a published writer further stated that she cannot accept a concept written at a time where women did not have equal consideration or power.
She said,
“This does not reconcile with today’s reality or the modern woman or family. A lot of biblical concepts do not. We have to use interpretation to work out which ones we deem appropriate.”
“I disagree that a man should be considered the head of a woman or household even when married. Everyone is within their own rights to accept or reject it. I reject it.”
