Nigerians on Twitter have lambasted and expressed doubts over claims by Dino Melaye that he escaped from ‘wilderness’  after he was reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen.

Many stressed that Melaye was only playing old tricks from a movie scene and noted that the controversial senator made no mention of kidnap.

This is coming after Melaye miraculously took to his Twitter page barely 24 hours after he was reportedly kidnapped to announce that God rescued him from his “foes”.

He wrote,

“I thank God once again for escaping another dangerous attack. I also thank Nigerians for their prayers and show of Love. Spent 11 hours in the wilderness traumatized but God preserved me.

“God is the best and in whom ONLY I trust. They will continue to try. WE SHALL OVERCOME!!!”

Recall that the controversial Kogi senator had been scheduled to appear in a high court to face a charge bordering on gun-running, but he was absent at Thursday’s proceeding.

Sahara Reporters also reported that relatives and several senators said that “Mr. Melaye was never kidnapped but staged a walk into a bush to avoid being charged before a KOGI high court”.

However, many Twitter users have stressed that they are tired of Melaye’s numerous mischiefs and opined that he should enrol with the renowned movie producer, Wale Adenuga, to get a movie role.

Some also used meme’s to describe his “abduction” and prayed that he gets a dose of his medicine.
