IN RIVERS STATE! Paedophile walks free after police allegedly demand money to prosecute three-year-old rape victim’s case
An alleged rapist is currently on the loose and walking free after policemen attached to the Rivers State Police Command reportedly demanded money from the mother of his three-year-old victim before they could prosecute the case.
Broadcast Journalist and Host of The Daily Report, Ify Oyinkansola Onyegbule, who shared the sad incident on her Facebook timeline, the victim’s mother backed out as she had no money for the case.
Posting a picture of the said rapist, she wrote,
This human being sexually molested a three-year-old in Rivers state…the police demands money from the girl’s mother to prosecute the case?
The woman backs out because there is no money for such action? Her daughter has been broken and damaged for life? Goshhhh!!!

I think the government needs to wake up to its responsibility and take up this woman’s case, why should the poor continue to suffer?
This man here I hear has walked free and is at large?
Please, when will the trumpet sound??
WuzupNaija reports that it would not be the first time policemen have been called out for misdeeds. In August, residents in Ifako Ijaiye area of Lagos State accused the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Pen Cinema Police Division of conducting raids during which he arrested innocent residents and extorted money from them.
Superintendent of Police H.E. Nwabuisi was alleged to have led his men to Alimi Ogunyemi Street where some Muslim faithful, who had just finished praying in a mosque, was allegedly rounded up around 8 pm on Wednesday.
