American comedian, actor and producer, Edward Murphy, better known as Eddie Murphy, has welcomed a baby boy with his fiancee Paige Butcher.

It’s the 10th child for the 57-year-old “Nutty Professor” and the couple’s second child together.

Murphy and 39-year-old Butcher have a 2-year-old daughter, Izzy.

The couple released a statement through Murphy’s publicist Monday saying Max Charles Murphy was born Friday and weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces.

The statement further stated that Butcher and the baby are doing well.

Eddie Murphy has been dating the Australian model and actress since 2012.

According to reports, Max Charles Murphy is said to be a tribute to Murphy’s older brother and fellow comedian Charlie Murphy, who died of leukaemia last year.

In September, Eddie and Paige got engaged after nearly six years of dating.

In 2013, Butcher told Vanity Fair, “I’m in a relationship with a celebrity, so I felt like there’s already enough of me out there… I felt like I was giving out too much information. I was giving people too much access. I like to keep as much private as possible now.”
