IT’S TIME WE TAKE IT A STEP HIGHER! Runtown launches his own record label
Douglas Jack Ago popularly known as Runtown has announced the launch of his new outfit, the Soundgod Music Group, and ‘Wana- We Are New Africa’ a charity project.
The mad over you crooner made the announcement on his twitter handle @iruntown at a launch party in Los Angeles, U.S his current base.
He wrote,
“Over time, we have been blessed with the talent and wisdom to apply it to use. It’s time we take it a step higher, carry the sound and the message to where it belongs, the top”.
The Enugu-born singer, who was supposed to drop his new single on June 25 had to postpone it because of the death of D’banjs son, Daniel 111.
The singer posted on his twitter page that he will be pushing back the single with no new date yet to be announced.
In 2008, Runtown partnered with Phyno to form a record label called Penthauz during which he released his first two singles titled: “Party like its 1980 and activities Pikin.”
In 2014, he won the Best Collaboration of the year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards and was also nominated for the Next Rated Awards of the Headies.
