I’ve forgiven my ex-husband, Churchill, for the sake of my son– Tonto Dikeh
Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, has revealed that she has forgiven her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill, for the sake of her son, King Andre.
The pair have been in a social media war after their marriage crashed in the year 2017.
The duo got married on August 25 of 2015 but things came to an end in 2017. Their separation and subsequent divorce was a messy one as they accused each other of several things and called each other unprintable names.
Although they share a son King Andre from their failed union, the former lovers remained cold towards each other with occasional jabs from either party at the other.
In a recent interview with journalist, Dele Momodu, Tonto Dikeh revealed that she has forgiven her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill for the sake of their child, King Andre.
The actress while speaking on the importance of forgiveness said she forgives so she would not be stagnated in life, career and other areas and that she has gotten to read the part of the bible where God said he wouldn’t forgive us if we do not forgive others.
She also stated that she forgives easily now but doesn’t like being provoked by the things a person does after she has forgiven such a person.
It can be recalled that Tonto Dikeh had earlier this year revealed that she is now in a new relationship and that her boyfriend is a Muslim.
Tonto Dikeh recently posted a photo of herself in Islamic regalia and wished her Muslim fans a Happy Ramadan. She wrote:
“Ramadan Mubarak to all Our Muslim Brothers and Sister, May Allah accept our Prayers, Bless Us and Heal the World..
We are with you in spirit and in Truth..
Allah Bless you”
A follower then asked if she was a Muslim or Christian, She replied;
“I am a Christian, i live in a Muslim community and have a Muslim boyfriend…we good?”
