Jose Mourinho, fans react to Man Utd’s tricky opponents in Europa League
Barely hours after the draw of the group stage of Europa League was announced on Friday, coach Jose Mourinho and fans of Manchester United have been reacting to the fixtures.
The Old Trafford club were given a tough Europa League group on Friday as the team were drawn with Fenerbahce, Feyenoord and Zorya Luhansk.
In Zorya Luhansk, United face a trip into the unknown. The European debutants – who reached the play-offs in the last two years but failed to progress – are based in the east of the country, close to the border with Russia.
However, because of the war in that part of the country Jose Mourinho’s side are set to play at the Slavutych Arena in Zaporizhia, which is more centrally located.
Also, fixture between Man Utd and Fenerbahce will see the return of Ruud Van Persie to the Old Trafford stadium after he left for the Turkish club some years ago.
Below are reactions of Jose Mourinho and some Man Utd’s fans on Twitter:
Jose Mourinho on facing Fenerbahce and Feyenoord: “It’s a big match to play in Istanbul as it is in Rotterdam – it’s good for us.” #MUFC

Meanwhile, Claude Puel’s Southampton were given a dream draw in that they will face Inter Milan, the 2010 Champions League winners. Sparta Prague and Hapoel Beer-Sheva make up Group K.

Games will be played from September 15 to December 8. The top two teams from each group are joined in the round-of-32 by the eight third-place teams from the Champions League groups.
