Just in: Another three storey building collapses in Lagos
A three storey-building on Wednesday collapsed at the Iju area of Lagos state.
It was gathered that the building was under construction and the occupants have been evacuated.
No mortalities were recorded, however, some yet to be identified injured persons are receiving treatment at the hospital.
Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the newly appointed General Manager of The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, confirmed the news to journalists.
He said, “This is just to inform you that a three-story building collapsed at K Farm, Fagba, Off Iju Road.
“It was a building under construction, and people occupying the building have been evacuated and the injured are responding to treatment.
“No mortalities recorded. All the key stakeholders that are important in managing disaster in Lagos are on the ground.
“However the building will be pulled to the ground for the safety of the people living in the area.
“All the buildings adjacent or beside the collapsed building will be subjected to solid material testing, for your information.”
