JUST IN: Fuel tanker crushes bus near Otedola bridge
Many people have been feared dead after a fuel-laden tanker crushed a Mazda bus close to the Otedola Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan highway.
The accident happened at the Ibadan-bound section of the road, which caused massive traffic along that axis.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that the tanker collided with a fully loaded commercial bus on the bridge causing heavy traffic that stretches beyond the state Secretariat in Alausa.
Already, emergency workers are said to be on ground battling to save the situation and prevent a fire outbreak.
As of the time of filing this report, @lagostrafficbutter, also confirmed that officials of the various agencies managing transport in Lagos State are on the ground at the scene of the accident while casualties are being evacuated.
Through, the level of casualty cannot be ascertained as of the time of the report but emergency workers had assured residents that they are on top of the incident.
