JUST IN: Super Falcons take protests to the streets of Abuja, National Assembly (photos)
Members of the national female football team, the Super Falcons, have taken their protests to the streets of Abuja and the National Assembly.
The players had vowed to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari to demand their wages after winning the country’s 8th African Women Cup of Nations title recently in Cameroon.
As at the time of filing this report, the players had shut down the entrance to the National Assembly and have threatened not to vacate the premises until they are being attended to.
