An international human rights organisation, Amnesty International Nigeria, has called for a thorough investigation into the death of a mechanic Chima Ikwunadu who was alleged to have been tortured to death by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

According to reports, Ikwunadu was arrested last December with four others over false accusations of cultism and robbery.

His death and detention of four others sparked outrage on social media as many Nigerians demand justice for them.
