American singer Kanye West has paid tribute to late rapper Nipsey Hussle by playing a song for him during his Sunday Service.

Kanye West is the latest star to pay tribute to the late 33-year-old rapper who was fatally shot outside his store a few weeks ago.

He was holding his weekly outdoor concert yesterday as usual, but at one point during the show, he played audio of Nipsey’s voice delivering some inspirational words about encouragement over music that was beginning to build, courtesy of Kanye who was DJ’ing.

Nipsey could be heard saying over the speakers,

“Stay inspired, show love to your people, I just wanted to say some words of encouragement. Y’all stay focused, y’all keep working hard.”

The choir and live band took it from there, as they start to play out what sounds like a hymn for Nipsey. His daughter North West also got into the vibe on stage.

Kanye’s shout out to Nipsey follows J. Cole dedicating an entire song to the LA rapper during his inaugural Dreamville Fest Saturday. Big Sean held a special moment for Nipsey as the same event.

A memorial service for Nipsey would hold at the Staples Center on Thursday. No word yet if music will be incorporated, but Nipsey’s peers have had that covered so far.
