Karaye Emirate Council reiterates commitment to support less privileged
The Emir of Karaye in Kano State, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar, has reiterated commitment to the improvement of the living standard of the less privileged in the society.
In a statement by Haruna Gunduwawa, the Information of the Karaye Emirate Council, on Tuesday in Kano, said the emir made the pledge when the Chairperson of the Society for Family Rehabilitation and Economic Growth, Binta Ja’afar, paid him a courtesy visit.
Abubakar said that the emirate council would remain committed to ensuring that people in need earn a better living.
He lauded the association over its widow and orphans support scheme and pledged support to the association to enable it establish its presence in the area.
Also speaking, Ja’afar said the association was established 10-years ago to cater for the welfare of the less privileged people in the society.
Ja’afar said that they were at the palace to request the indulgence of the emir to be the Grand Patron of the association.
