Kidnappers release Nigerian Chronicle staffer, Maurice Archibong
Maurice Archibong, the Nigerian Chronicle account staff who was kidnapped last week, has regained his freedom after eight days in kidnappers den.
Sources said he was freed after an undisclosed sum of money was paid as ransom.
His abductors had demanded N1.5m as ransom.
Also the kidnappers of Chief Desmond Oko, a businessman, has also released him.
Kidnappers of Associate Professor at the University of Calabar Institute of Policy and Public Administration, David Ugwu, have not released him.
He was abducted last week from his home and the kidnappers have demanded N15m ransom.
