#LagosIsland: 20 casualties brought in so far – PS Health ministry
The Lagos State Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary, Titi Gonclaves, have said 20 casualties have been brought in so far and they are being attended to.
Speaking with newsmen at the Lagos Island General Hospital, Gonclaves said five others have been transferred to other hospitals.
She also assured that her team were on ground to monitor and manage the situation at the General Hospital.
Our correspondent said some casualties were also transferred to LUTH, LASUTH and the accident centre at Tollgate in order to decongest the Lagos Island General Hospital.
WuzupNaija had reported that some residents of Itafaji have appealed to the Lagos state government to stop developers from constructing houses beyond 3 storey building
Some of the residents who spoke with our correspondent lamented the high number of lives that have been lost to the collapse of such building in the past.
They also appealed to the government to stop churches and school owners in the area from using high rise building as schools.
