Landlord destroys tenant’s property over unpaid rent, only to discover his daughter had been spending it [Photos]
A Nigerian man has narrated how his friend’s landlord invaded his home, threw out his children and also destroyed his property while acting on the tenant’s supposed failure to pay his house rent.
In a thread of tweets via his handle @Bottledpaul, he claimed the landlord invaded the home with auctioneers.
In a twist of fate, the tenant had paid his rent but unknown to the landlord his daughter had been spending the money.
@Bottledpaul tweeted:
“Landlord just came with auctioneers to raid my guy’s house. Nigga came home and found his kids outside. Ended up breaking his dining table and surround system. Only to find out that the landlord’s daughter’s been withdrawing the rent for the past 5 months.”
He added that the landlord started begging his tenant when he discovered the truth about the rent.
“Now Landlord don dey beg for the guy to take it easy with him. The police he brought don pack their things run. Apartment looks like a robbery scene.”
He also shared photos of the scene and noted that the case had been reported at the police station.
“See the dining table? Glass bin dey fill that centre. Pulled the TV off the wall. Even broke the wifi port. Apparently, the auctioneers were trying to get the shit out as quickly as possible so that they could get it to storage and charge for its release,” he added.
“Anyway, we dey drink now as landlord dey go write statement for station. As the cleaners dey clean, them dey find new problems like how them don bust the washing machine pipe.”
