LASEMA averts deadly fire outbreak at Ojota New Garage [Photo]
Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency’s response unit on Monday averted a deadly fire outbreak at Ojota New Garage.
This was made known in the pictures shared on the official Twitter handle of the agency a few hours ago.
There was an accident involving a tanker with registration number KTU 160XM laden with gas products and another tanker with unknown registration number loaded with 44,000 litres of PMS.
The gas conveying truck broke down due to a mechanical fault and the truck conveying PMS which had a brake failure rammed into the gas tanker from behind.
A resident placed a call to 112 around 1:15 pm and fire trucks were quickly deployed to the scene around 1:17 pm with fully loaded LRU fire and rescue team.
The agency said no life was lost in the accident.
