This story will no doubt convincingly pass as one of the wildest and hilarious stories to ever come out of Africa this week.

It is the story of a 27-year-old South African student recently nabbed for eating at Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) outlets in the country for free for a year. Yes, for a full calendar year he was enjoying freebies at different KFC outlets without any suspicion.

Reports said the young man whose story has sparked hilarious reactions on the internet, used to tell the employees at any outlet he visited that he was sent from the KFC headquarters for quality check.

He posed as a quality control officer for a year to enjoy free meal at different KFC outlets. He had just one agenda and he repeated the same line at different outlets, to achieve his lone agenda – free meal.

It was gathered that the man, whose name could not be ascertained yet, was a student at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.

Kenyan journalist, Teddy Eugene shared the news of the man’s unusual confidence on his official Twitter account.

He wrote,

“South African man arrested for eating at KFC free for a year by saying head office sent him to taste if they are up to standard.”

The story had since gone viral on Twitter with many social media users poking fun at the strange act.
