Published

Dominic Solanke has sealed a permanent transfer to Bournemouth for a reported £19m.

The 21-year-old moves to the Premier League side after an 18-month spell with Liverpool, during which the striker made 27 appearances for the first team.

Solanke opened his goalscoring account for the Reds in the final league game of last season, a 4-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield.

The U20 World Cup winner will now take a new step in his career after completing the formalities of a switch to Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth.

Solanke had looked set to join Crystal Palace on loan earlier this week but that move collapsed with the Eagles citing concerns over his fitness.

Solanke scored just once in 27 appearances for Liverpool and has failed to appear at all for Jurgen Klopp’s side so far this season. He has found himself behind Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi in the pecking order.

Liverpool signed Solanke from Chelsea after his contract expired in the summer of 2017.
