In one fell swoop, Lola Shoneyin touches on several social issues — from polygamy to sexuality to sexual assault — and she never drops the ball. Beyond that, the story is hilarious in its delivery, and the message is still clear and poignant.

The new adaptation by Sourmash Stories will be live at The Luxe@Adam&Eve on 28th October; Terr Kulture Arena 1 on 4th November and Muson Centre on 8th, 9th and 11th November. Tickets to the event are available here.
Since the novel was first published in 2010, it has already been under stage lights in Abeokuta featuring prominent Nollywood stars like Adesua Etomi and Joke Silva four years ago.
