The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old banker identified as Oluchi, and two suspected hired assassins over failed attempt to assassinate her ex-husband identified as Tochukwu Onyebuchi.

The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, who paraded the suspects, said Oluchi was married to Onyebuchi some years back but got separated from him after some matrimonial problems.

Iliyasu said while the custody of their only child is currently being contested in the court, Oluchi opted to take the man’s life. She contracted Chigozie Smart, Kingsley Ikechukwu and one other who is now at large to assassinate her husband for the sum of N500, 000.

He said they were arrested barely two weeks after the woman paid the money to them to carry out the evil assignment.

The CP further hinted that the woman kept weapons comprising cutlass, iron rods and acid in Onyebuchi’s compound at Ayobo area of the state for the hired assassins to use in executing their evil plot.
