Mama Taraba jubilates after successful knee surgery [Video & Photos]
Former Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Aisha Alhassan, better known as Mama Taraba, has undergone a successful knee replacement surgery.
The excited Mama Taraba shared the good news on her Twitter handle weeks after she had urged well-meaning Nigerians to pray for her surgery in an undisclosed hospital.
Mama Taraba wote “Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah!! Alhamdulillah!!!
My surgery was a success and I’m getting much much better everyday.
Thank you all ?? for prayers, family, friends and all concern Nigerians. Nagode sosai sosai.”
One of her aides, @sadiqango, had earlier updated her followers saying “surgery was a success, she is now in recovery and will soon begin physiotherapy sessions. Thank you for all your prayers.”

Mama Taraba resigned as the Minister of Women Affairs of Nigeria on July 27th, 2018. She was appointed in 2015 to the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari after his election.
Alhassan, who was screened out of the All Progressive Congress’ gubernatorial race by the party withdrew her membership of the party before joining the UDP to pursue her governorship ambition.
Alhassan had contested for the seat in 2015, on the platform of the APC, but lost to the incumbent, Darius Ishaku of the PDP.
