A 21-year-old man has been arrested for assaulting and raping a 35-year-old housewife while on her way to a church vigil in Ikotun, Lagos.

According to P.M.EXPRESS, the incident happened at Old Garage in Ikotun. The suspect, Michael Adeshina, reportedly threatened the lady, took her to a dark spot, tore her pant and forcefully had sex with her.

It was gathered that the victim pleaded with Adeshina to no avail; she even offered her phone, other valuables including her handbag and Bible but he refused. He insisted on engaging her in marathon sex without her consent. She gave in when she discovered that her life was in serious danger.
